Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Garden in Claremont is offering a native plant seminar, with the self-explanatory title listed above, on April 16-19.  The early days of the symposium, I'm told, are primarily geared towards serious horticulturists, while the final day, Saturday the 19th, with the theme "Native Plants Through the Seasons", was designed with the general public in mind.

But I think you should go to Rancho's website, look at the schedule, and decide for yourself.  I might go on Friday to hear Chris Barnhill lecture based on the title of his topic alone:  "Building An Island -- Sailing, Quarries, and a Martini:  One Way to Introduce Channel Island Natives to the Public.
