« Cardiocrinum: have you seen it in pink? | MAIN | Perfectly neutral -- more great pots »

I bought these pots at Roger's Garden in Corona del Mar, California about six months ago.  (Yes, still unplanted; the story of my life.)  I've seen them since at Pot-ted in Atwater Village and Ron's Lifestyle Nursery in Grover Beach.  They are hard to keep in stock, all three merchants told me.  I think it's their sandpapery texture.  Makes them irresistibly earthy.  The simple, modern shapes are a nice counterbalance.  Makes them look sophisticated in a non-pretenious way.  And finally there's that great color.  Looks like wet earth.  Could a pot be more neutral?  There's not a plant that wouldn't look at home in these.  Maybe that's my problem.  I can't make up my mind.

I like these too. Classic and unfussy. They'd blend with anything. I'm tired of my glazed pots and wish I could instantly switch to plain clay.

I love them! Where can I get some in Northern California.

You're right about colored pots. They're very limiting. Oranges, blues, and bright greens are fun for awhile, but trends change. And then you're stuck with a pot you don't like. These have a lasting quality to them.

You might try Flora Grubb in San Franciso.
