Isn't it wonderful when good deeds are rewarded?  We think so.  That's why we're delighted Brent Green is getting plenty of good press for his efforts to "green up" his Mid-City LA neighborhood.  

When we found a stunning before and after on Green's website, we had no idea there was a bigger story there.  Turns out the renovation was Green's own house. And the bigger surprise was that Green didn't stop when the renovation was finished but took on enhancing the entire neighborhood. The resulting story ran in April.  Click on this post and you can download it.

Other media noticed.  Green was featured on the local ABC news network in August.  You can watch it on video here.

And now the national media has discovered Brent.  He will be Katie Couric's guest on the 6:30 CBS Evening News tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14. 

Hooray, we say.  Couldn't, and for once this isn't a cliche, happen to a nicer guy.

POST SCRIPT:  CBS Evening News has postponed Katie's interview with Brent to Friday, the 16th.

P.P.S.  The interview with Brent Green will not be running on Friday, the 16th after all.  It has been postponed again.  As soon as we know the new date, we'll post it.  Keep checking.
